Alexei Grinbaum, Ph.D., HDR, is a physicist and philosopher at LARSIM, the Philosophy of Science Group at CEA-Saclay near Paris. His main interest is in the foundations of quantum theory. He also writes on the ethical and social aspects of emerging technologies, including nanotechnology, synthetic biology, robotics and artificial intelligence. Grinbaum is a chair of the CEA operational ethics committee for digital technologies. He contributed to several EU projects (observatoryNano, RRI-Practice, TechEthos, iRECS, MultiRATE) and serves as ethics expert to the European Commission.His books include "Mécanique des étreintes" (2014) and "Les robots et le mal" (2019).

After graduating from ENA in 1981, Caroline Martin worked for the Ministry of the Interior. She then belonged to the administrative courts and administrative courts of appeal from 1988 to 2007. Dr. Catherine Tessier is a senior researcher at ONERA, Toulouse, France. Her research focuses on modelling ethical reasoning and on ethical issues related to the use of “autonomous” robots. She is also ONERA’s research integrity and ethics officer. She is a member of the ethics committee of the French ministry of defense and a member of Inria's Research Ethics Board. She was a member of UNESCO ad hoc expert group for the elaboration of the Recommendation on the ethics of Artificial Intelligence.

She is a specialist in Artificial Intelligence, and her current work focuses on information extraction and argumentation in natural language.
