Opinion 137 Ethics and public health
The Covid-19 pandemic has confronted our society with the question of public health ethics. It forces us to question our ethics in the context of an emergency, but also in the context of a lasting crisis, and encourages us to try to give it new impetus. This exercise, which the CCNE hopes will be a collective one, requires us to set ethical benchmarks. Ethics are not optional for public health: they are a prerequisite for acceptance, which requires public participation. This is the purpose of CCNE Opinion 137 on "Ethics and Public Health", published today.
